Central Hudson will be working with Precision Pipeline Solutions this July to install new natural gas distribution mains in the street and service lines that connect to individual homes and businesses throughout the City of Newburgh. The project will replace approximately 2,400 feet of gas lines in the City and is estimated to take four weeks to complete.
Impacted areas include:
- Walsh Rd
- Dickson St, between Walsh Rd and S Robinson Ave
- Commercial Pl
- S William St, between Walsh Rd and Lake St
If your service line is affected, Precision Pipeline Solutions will contact you to schedule an appointment for its replacement.
Please be advised, the entire process requires work to be performed both inside and outside of residential homes and/or businesses. Natural gas meters currently located indoors will be relocated by Central Hudson or one of their contractors to an outdoor location to improve future access to this equipment by utility personnel.
Due to the current pandemic and for your safety and security, Central Hudson personnel will assess the individual circumstances at each home with residents to determine when and how these activities will take place.
Indoor work will be conducted by trained professionals using personal protection equipment, including masks and gloves. All Central Hudson employees and contractors will display identification badges.
Any property disruptions will be restored by Central Hudson or one of their professional landscape and paving contractors. If you do not own the home or property, please refer all decisions concerning this work to the property owner.
