The City of Newburgh Council Work Sessions and Regular Council Meetings will be held in-person on the third floor of City Hall, 83 Broadway, Newburgh, NY 12550. All meetings will be livestreamed via the City’s website, and Facebook pages, as well as recorded. The recording will be made available at a later date.
The next Council Work Session is on Thursday, September 7, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall. Due to extraordinary circumstances, Councilmember Martinez will not be physically present at the Council Work Session and will participate virtually from a remote location in accordance with the videoconferencing procedures of Section 20-1.1 of the City Code of Ordinances. Immediately following the conclusion of the Council Work Session, the City Council is expected to convene an executive session to discuss proposed pending or current litigation.
The next Regular Council Meeting is on Monday, September 11, 2023, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall. A public hearing is scheduled during the next Regular Council Meeting to receive public comment on concerning a Local Law adding Article IX entitled "Exemption for Disabled Persons with Limited Incomes" to Chapter 270 entitled "Taxation" of the City Code of the City of Newburgh.
Members of the public who wish to provide comments regarding the agenda, general matters of City business, or the public hearing during the September 11, 2023, Council meeting may do so in-person at the Council Chambers in City Hall.
