Summer is finally here and although most COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, unvaccinated individuals must continue to wear masks and follow social distancing in accordance with federal CDC guidance. The 2021 Summer Film Festival screening of "Sonic the Hedgehog," on July 1, has been relocated to Safe Harbors Green (97 Broadway – Intersection of Broadway & Liberty St.). The movie will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. Attendees will be provided with free popcorn, and are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Food Trucks are welcomed to park along Ann Street, next to Safe Harbors Green. In case of rain, the film will be shown inside Safe Harbors located at 111 Broadway.
The City of Newburgh Water Department invites you to its upcoming Water Filtration Plant Tour and Open House to see first-hand how water travels from its source to your tap. To mitigate the spread COVID-19, participants must follow social distancing and face-covering policies. To reserve a spot, call the Water Department at 845-565-3356 by 4:00 p.m. on July 7, 2021.
A 30-day Public Comment period has been opened concerning a draft grant application for a Brownfield Opportunity Area (BOA) Nomination Grant. A presentation of the DRAFT 2021 Consolidated Funding Application will be given at the City Council Work Session on Thursday, July 8. Comments regarding the draft application will be accepted at the City Council meeting on Monday, July 12.
