North Street/Leroy Place/Plank Road (NYS Route 980T)
Be advised that sewer related road construction will be starting in the area of North Street/Leroy Place/Plank Road (NYS Route 980T) in the area between Grand Avenue and Powell Avenue in the City of Newburgh. Day-time construction in this corridor will commence on March 27, 2023, and will continue into the summer months.
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained through the construction corridor during daytime construction hours. Intermittent traffic impacts involving lane closures, and the temporary closure of Balmville Road will occur Monday through Friday during working hours starting the week of March 27, 2023.
Additionally, please be advised that night-work will commence on April 3, 2023. The night-work will involve traffic detours around this area between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Variable message board electronic signs are in place alerting travelers to detours and other construction related updates. Please be alert to posted traffic control signage, follow detour signs, use alternate routes, and obey all traffic control signs.
