Join Scenic Hudson, the design team, and the Quassaick Creek Greenway Steering Committee on October 3 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Newburgh Free Library for an open house and public launch of the Quassaick Creek Greenway Feasibility Study!
The Quassaick Creek Greenway (QCG) is a community project exploring a potential public trail along Quassaick Creek. Extending from the Hudson River to Crystal Lake, the Greenway will create opportunities for public enjoyment and education, protect the Creek's unique ecosystem, and improve neighborhood access to nature in the city. The project will be gathering ideas from the community, along with research on the cultural, physical, and environmental conditions of the Creek.
All City residents are invited to share their aspirations and desires tied to the future design and development of the QCG.
QCG is a project of Scenic Hudson in collaboration with a steering committee of local community members and representatives from Orange County, Orange County Land Trust, City of Newburgh, Town of New Windsor, and the Quassaick Creek Watershed Alliance.
