The City of Newburgh Recreation Department is excited to announce a 6-week Indoor Soccer Clinic for boys and girls at the Newburgh Armory Unity Center every Thursday starting September 30 through November 11. The clinic will be divided into a Pee-Wee Division that will run from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and a Junior Division that will run from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
For a fee of $20, the Indoor Soccer Clinic will introduce the Pee-Wee Division (ages 3-6) to basic soccer skills, and will provide Junior Division (ages 7-10), the opportunity to fulfill their soccer potential in a fun filled environment through a series of soccer training sessions tailored to further develop their soccer skills. Both divisions will conduct warm-ups, and practice dribbling, passing, shielding, trapping, tackling, shooting and goalkeeping.
All activities will take place in an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship, teamwork and most of all, FUN!
Participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and must be properly equipped with shin guards and appropriate foot attire (no cleats are allowed indoors). Parents/guardians are responsible for providing their child with water, no eating or drinking of other liquids on the field is allowed.
All clinics will be operated with a strict protocol that complies with all State, County and City guidelines. COVID-19 guidelines will be observed at the indoor clinics, and accompanying parents/guardians must adhere to social distancing and face mask protocols.
Registration for the City of Newburgh Indoor Soccer Clinic is required, and parents should bring their child’s birth certificate at the time of registration. Birth certificates must be provided before the start date of the clinic. A Newburgh Armory Rules and Regulations form is also required for each participant before the start date of the clinic.
