View the City of Newburgh Final Assessment Roll for 2023 (PDF)
The City Assessor is appointed by the City Manager and is entrusted by City Charter §7.20 with supervision and control of the Bureau of Assessments under the general supervision of the Director of Finance. The City Assessor conducts valuations of more than 6,900 properties within the City and converts that value into an assessment. The City Assessor is obligated by New York State law to maintain assessments at a uniform percentage of market value each year. In order to maintain a uniform assessment roll the City Assessor analyzes the City’s properties every year.
City Assessor Joanne Majewski and our seasoned support staff, Kathy Parisi and Kathy Cunane, are available throughout the year to discuss and resolve questions about your assessment.
