According to the 2000 US Census, persons age 65 or older make up close to 10% of the population of the City of Newburgh. However, little is known about the social, emotional and physical needs of our community elders.
Our department plans to implement a broad-based planning process with stakeholders to identify the needs, locate the gaps and articulate a vision for serving seniors.
