Heritage Corridor Development Initiative

The Heritage Corridor Development Initiative was launched in 2006 with the purpose of implementing the recommendations of the Liberty/Grand Street Visioning Study commissioned by the City of Newburgh and prepared by Nelessen Associates. The Heritage Corridor Development Initiative is committed to the physical and economic revitalization of the City’s core historic district through streetscape improvements that nurture safe, clean pedestrian friendly environments that stimulate vibrant neighborhoods and commercial activity. The Liberty-Grand Street Heritage Corridor Committee has 15 active members which meets monthly. The Committee has been charged with reviewing the report generated out of the Visioning Session and assist the City with identifying priorities for implementation. The Committee can be reached at heritagecorridor@gmail.com
