One Percent for Art Program
In November 2007, the City Council adopted legislation that established a "One Percent for Public Art" program, which sets aside 1% of large public construction projects for public art.
In 2008 the Commission issued a call for proposals for art installations for the city's new courthouse. Artists submitted 39 proposals. In January 2009, an 11-person jury selected the winning design.
