The Kick-Off of the 2009 Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Anniversary and Newburgh’s 300th Birthday on November 7-9 was a smashing success. Especially popular was the visit of the replica of Henry Hudson's ship, the Half Moon. Even on a rainy Saturday, tickets sold out; on both days, crowds waited patiently to marvel at the tiny ship that brought the first European explorers to our shores 400 years ago.
